If a text page is a likely copyright violation, at the top of the page place:

{{subst:copyvio|url=source(s)}}

This template must always be substituted.

This template will automatically blank all content that follows it. If only a part of the page is a violation and you wish to limit blanking to that portion, place this template above the section to be blanked and add </div> to the end of the infringing portion.

If the entire page, including all previous versions of it, is a blatant copyright violation, do not use this template and do not blank the page, tag with {{db-copyvio}} instead.

This template is not for use with images. Blatant image copyright violations should be tagged with {{Db-i9}}. Otherwise, suspected image violations should be tagged with {{Puf}}. If this template is used on a page in the File namespace, it will transclude Template:Copyvio error above the notice.
